3 commit suicide in Sabarmati

The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) fished out three bodies in past 24 hours from different parts of the city. Navrangpura and Ellisbridge police stations have registered cases of accidental deaths and have started investigation.

AHMEDABAD: The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) fished out three bodies in past 24 hours from different parts of the city. Navrangpura and Ellisbridge police stations have registered cases of accidental deaths and have started investigation.
According to AFES officials, they got a call on Sunday night about a youth jumping from Jamalpur bridge. They commenced search when they finally found the body from under the bridge. The deceased was identified as Rakesh Patlat, 19, a resident of Saraspur.
In another incident, firemen found body of Mukesh Dabhani, 30, a resident of Nava Vadaj from near Gandhi bridge. Dabhani had been seen jumping into the river at 3 pm from Sabarmati riverfront. AFES fished out body of a man from near Jamalpur bridge after passersby spotted the body under the bridge. The victim was identified as Ashok Daswani, 55, a resident of Kubernagar.
